Get to know the game

Relic Putt puts a different decision behind every swing. The course brings water, spikes, totems and changing weather; your ball brings the relic you chose along the way.

There are unusual course features and Guardian challenges to discover, too. Start with the simple controls, then learn to think about where a shot finishes—not just where it starts.

Simple swing. Plenty of possibilities.

You can play with a mouse or a touchscreen. On a phone, landscape orientation gives the course more breathing room. Here are the inputs to know before your first shot.

Get comfortable with the swing first. Then try a midair activation and observe what your equipped relic changes.

Plan the landing.
Then take the shot.

Before aiming at the flag, ask a smaller question: where can this ball safely finish? A clear path through the air is only useful if it leaves you somewhere worth landing.

  1. Find somewhere safe to finish.

Look beyond the first obstacle. A short, controlled shot to open ground can give you a clearer next move than an ambitious attempt across water or spikes.

  2. Change one thing at a time.

If an attempt falls short or goes too far, adjust deliberately. Changing your aim, drag and ability timing all at once makes it harder to learn what helped.

  3. Read the course before repeating.

Pause to notice the weather, special course features and Guardian behavior. When a familiar shot stops working, check what the environment has changed.

  4. Give the ability a job.

Plan the route first, then decide whether a midair relic activation serves it. Pressing the button simply because it is available can turn a useful test into a guess.

One useful habitAfter a miss, name the problem before changing the shot: wrong landing spot, too much distance, or poorly timed ability. One clear observation is more useful than a rushed retry.

A relic is a choice,
not just a reward.

After a hole, you choose between three relics that change your ball. Instead of hunting for a universal “best” pick, read the choices and connect one to a problem you want to solve.

What held you back?

Think about the last awkward shot. Was the hard part the route, the landing, or understanding your ability?

What does this one do?

Use the in-game description. Relic names alone do not tell you their timing or how they fit your next shot.

Where can you test it?

Try one clear situation, watch the result, and build your next decision around what you actually observed.

These are suggested ways to approach the game, rather than a tested walkthrough for every hole or a ranking of all relics.
